We arrived at Zurich University Hospital on Feb 3 and was treated to a tour of the hospital by the chief of vascular surgery Dr Mario Lachat. It was such a experience to see how much a like and how different we are in the care of our patients. We toured the ICU, the OR and was treated to a roof top view of Zurich. Our presentation went very well thanks to the efforts of Marcus ( IT ) and Bernadette ( Linda's friend who set up our talk). We ended the night walking the moonlit streets of Zurich and eating at one of the finest Armenian restaurants i have ever experienced.
We left for Rwanda at 7:30 am the next day.
You guys look awesome - keep the pics coming - we are craving them to follow the progress......I will be thinking of you as you work the nightshift Gabby - hang in there - lots of Rwanda tea to keep you up. You'll be AMAZING as always

Oh Susan,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great start to your mission in educating others about what "Team Heart" is all about. I'm proud of the difference you're making in the lives of others. I miss you.
Abi reached the summit of Kilimanjaro this morning. No other news except she did it with Kim Fawcett and the PAC group. PAC hopes to get great sports equipment (like SideStix) to para-athletes who can't afford quality gear. Four disabled Vets climbed Kili using our Stix. Feels good.
